The 9-piece Ska Orchestra features male/female harmony vocals, a swinging Jamaican Ska style rhythm section, and a swelling 4-piece horn section, creating lush, dance-tastic original Ska music. Hailing from San Diego, CA, Skavolutionary Orchestra is really an international band featuring members from across the nation and the world.

Bob Marley, once a teenage Jamaican Ska star, and then a world renowned Reggae superstar, once sang “there’s so much trouble in the world.” This is as true in the modern age as much as it was during Bob’s day. To fight political corruption, financial racketeering, wars of choice, and ecological destruction, Skavolutionary Orchestra’s songs call for public unity and consciousness. Since 2009, Skavolutionary Orchestra has performed throughout San Diego, in well-known venues such as the Belly Up, the Beauty Bar, O’Connell’s, UCSD, SDSU, and at open-air festivals in Ocean Beach and Hillcrest.
